The maximum cover length for any single-trip policy is 182 days. However, if you have an annual multi-trip policy, we can cover you for multiple trips and up to 90 days per trip. An annual multi-trip policy will remain in force for 12 months from the cover start date, until the end of the cover period, as indicated on the policy schedule.
Extension of period of cover is allowed midway through travel, provided there are no known circumstances or events that may lead to a claim. An additional premium will apply. You may email us at [email protected] to request for such an extension.
The difference is as follows:
Individual Package covers you only.
Family Package covers you, your spouse and/or your legal child/children who travel with you on the same single trip. For the annual family plan, you and your spouse need not travel together but your children below 16 years old must be accompanied by you or your spouse for any trip.
Group Package covers you and up to a maximum of 19 other individuals (including children) travelling together on the same trip. A 10% discount applies to groups of at least 6 persons and a 15% discount applies to a group of 11 to 20.
Yes, provided your child is at least 16 years old at the point of application. If your child is under 16 years old, an accompanying adult can purchase a group policy together with them.
Yes. You may claim under Trip Cancellation For Any Reason or Change of Travelling Date or Time For Any Reason, if it isn’t due to any one of the insured events, with a Travel Plus or Travel Prestige policy purchased within seven days of making initial payment for your trip. For example, if you’ve purchased an air ticket on 1 May 2024 and paid for your accommodation on 1 July 2024, for a trip from 1 December 2024 to 14 December 2024, you would’ve had to secure your travel insurance by 8 May 2024 to be covered under this section.
We’ll cover 50% of the trip’s irredeemable travel and accommodation costs, as well as entertainment tickets paid in advance before departure from Singapore, if you cancel your trip. We’ll also cover 50% of the reasonable administrative fees charged by the airline or licensed travel agent, if changes are made to the travel time and date of the trip. We also cover irredeemable entertainment tickets.

Yes, if you must cut the trip and return to Singapore, we’ll cover you for:
- Irredeemable and unused travel and accommodation costs, and amounts paid in advance for entertainment tickets; or
- Any administrative expenses when it's possible to amend the original travel and accomodation bookings; or
- Additional travel (economy-class) and accommodation (standard room) expenses if it's not possible to amend the original bookings.
Yes. You may claim under Trip Curtailment For Any Reason if, after 48 hours from the departure of your trip and it isn’t due to any one of the insured events, with a Travel Plus or Travel Prestige policy purchased within seven days of making the initial payment for your trip. For example, if you’ve purchased an air ticket on 1 May 2024 and paid for your accommodation on 1 July 2024, for a trip from 1 December 2024 to 14 December 2024, you would’ve had to secure your travel insurance by 8 May 2024 to be covered under this section.
We’ll cover 50% of:
- The trip's irredeemable travel and accommodation costs, and amounts paid in advance for entertainment tickets; or
- Any administrative expenses when it's possible to amend the original travel and accomodation bookings; or
- Additional travel (economy-class) and accommodation (standard room) expenses if it's not possible to amend the original bookings.

Yes. Your policy will cover you for business travel, excluding any loss, damage or liability arising from manual work. Please refer to the policy document for more information about manual work.
Yes. If you’re unable to travel due to one of the following insured events listed below, within 30 days of departing for the trip, we’ll cover any reasonable admin and/or additional transport fees, and accommodation and entertainment costs, to bring in a replacement traveller for your business trip.
Yes. This applies if the scheduled public transport that you’re booked to travel on during your trip is delayed from the scheduled time of departure; if you’re denied boarding of the public transport for which confirmation and reservation has been made for the public transport; or if your transport is diverted and you’re delayed in arriving at your planned destination.
Additionally, you must not be the cause of the delay, and there must be no other travel arrangement made available to you by your travel agent or operator within six hours of the scheduled departure.
We’ll pay S$100 for every six-hour delay – up to the policy limits – extending from your scheduled arrival time.
No. However, if you receive a flight reschedule notice within 3 days before you depart from Singapore for your trip, we’ll pay S$100 for every six-hour delay, up to the policy limit.

This is applicable for single trip policies with a minimum duration of three days only. If the accumulated rainfall level in the city of your trip destination is greater than 6.4 mm for each full 24-hour period and more than 50% of your trip duration is affected due to this rainfall level, we will pay the following amount in accordance with your plan type.

This is available for all single trip policies with a minimum duration of three days and purchased from 30/08/2022 onwards.
For example, your trip duration in Australia is 8 days, and 5 out of 8 days of your trip duration (more than 50%) are affected by rainfall levels of beyond 6.4mm in a 24-hour period at the city of your trip destination. Therefore, your single trip policy will pay the limit in accordance with your plan type after our claim assessment.

If you have purchased a single trip policy with a minimum duration of three days and more than 50% of your trip duration are affected by the rainfall, please submit your claim through our online claim submission here. You need to submit the full details of your trip including but not limited to the country and the city of your trip. You can only declare one city per day in the claim submission. We will assess your claims and the rainfall level against ERA5 data that we obtain via our partner Arbol Inc to determine the admissibility of the claim.
ERA5 is the fifth generation ECMWF reanalysis for the global climate and weather for the past 4 to 7 decades. ERA5 provides hourly estimates of a large number of atmospheric, land and oceanic climate variables. The data cover the Earth on a 30km grid and resolve the atmosphere using 137 levels from the surface up to a height of 80km. ERA5 includes information about uncertainties for all variables at reduced spatial and temporal resolutions.
Yes. This applies if your checked-in baggage is delayed, misdirected or temporarily misplaced at your scheduled destination, or upon your return to Singapore, on a scheduled carrier. We’ll pay for the delay of at most one piece of checked-in baggage that’s tagged under your name.
We’ll pay up to S$200 for every six-hour delay at overseas destinations, and S$150 after a delay of six hours upon your return to Singapore.
Yes. We’ll cover you for loss, theft or accidental damage to your personal belongings or baggage during your trip, as long as they haven’t been left unattended. We’ll pay a maximum of S$700 per item (S$500 per item for Travel Lite plan) and this is subject to our depreciation table. Please refer to the policy document for more information.
Personal belongings refer to luggage, clothing, binoculars, photographic equipment and other items that you wear or carry with you when you travel.
Not automatically. You must have purchased the optional riders of Golf Holiday, Winter Sports or Adventurous Water Sports to be eligible for coverage of such damage.
Yes. If you purchase the Travel Plus or Travel Prestige plans, we’ll cover you for theft of your valuables or personal money, during your trip, up to the limits specified in your policy. There’s no cover for valuables or personal money when you purchase the Travel Lite policy.
Yes. If your passport or other travel documents are lost or stolen while you’re abroad, we’ll cover the administrative fees that are needed to replace the documents. In addition, we’ll also pay for additional transport and accommodation expenses incurred for the sole purpose of replacing these documents.

If your credit card is stolen, we’ll cover you for any fraudulent use of your card. This excludes any cash advances. This benefit is only applicable to the Travel Prestige policy. You must report the loss to your credit card issuer within 24 hours of the theft or robbery.
You will need to report the theft or loss to the police within 24 hours of discovering its occurrence. At the same time, you should request for a report in writing. If applicable, report the theft or loss to your airline, transport company or hotel, and ask them for a report in writing as well. These documents will be necessary when you’re making a claim.
The policy may be purchased but it won’t cover any loss, damage or liability that directly or indirectly arises as a result of any pre-existing medical condition. For more information, please refer to your policy documents.
Under Travel Plus or Travel Prestige plans, we’ll pay for:
- Emergency medical treatment outside Singapore, within the stipulated policy limits for pregnancy or childbirth
- Trip cancellation or trip interruption, if you’re unfit to travel or continue with your trip,
where the expected date of delivery is more than 12 weeks (16 weeks in the case of a multiple pregnancy) from your planned return date. Your doctor must also certify that these conditions are not related to any pre-existing conditions.
The policy automatically covers you for the usual tourist activities that are accessible to the general public, without restriction. This includes those that are provided by licensed operators. To qualify for coverage, you must obey the rules (including wearing appropriate safety equipment) and act under the guidance and supervision of qualified guides and/or instructors of the operator, while carrying out the respective tourist activities. (This excludes Dangerous Sports and Leisure Activities under General Exceptions).
If you’re participating in Winter Sports and Adventurous Water Sports activities, such as skiing and jet skiing, you may protect yourself by purchasing the optional riders for them.
Please note that we do not cover you while you’re taking part in leisure or sports activities as a professional; or where you would or could earn or receive remuneration, donation, sponsorship or financial rewards of any kind; or where you’re competing in or practising for speed or time trials, sprints or racing of any kind.
We will not cover you if you take part in any sports or leisure activities with a high, inherent levels of risk, or which is done in a manner, location or terrain thatis far from what reasonable people consider to be normal. Please refer to our General Exceptions for the list of activities that we do not cover. Examples are bungee jumping, skydiving, flying fox, BASE jumping, stunt riding, trekking above 3,000 metres altitude and canoeing above Grade 2.
Yes. If the treating doctor and our medical emergency assistance provider agree that an air ambulance is necessary, you’ll be covered up to the limits shown in your policy.

This add-on cover is for accidental loss or damage to your ceremonial attire and accessories, loss of marriage certificate, as well as personal liability of invited guests at your overseas wedding venue. Additionally, you're covered if your wedding planner goes bankrupt or if your wedding photos are lost or damaged en route to Singapore.
The charge for this add-on is calculated per couple. So, if you and your partner are purchasing two separate insurance policies, only one of you needs to take on this option.
It’s important that you keep the original documentation and receipts for any items that you intend to make claims for, as they will help provide more accurate assessments of their value. If otherwise, your claim may be affected.
You’ll have to inform us of changes to the information and declarations that were shared as part of the travel insurance purchasing process. This will include, but not be limited to:
Your name and address; Details pertaining to your travelling companion; Details of your children; Trip details, including region to be visited and duration of trip; and any other additional information that might impact on your risk either before or while travelling.
Yes. Your policy will cover you for ‘cruise to nowhere’ trips as long as the cruise sails within the region covered under your travel insurance policy. Please ensure you select the correct travel region at the point of purchase.
