We wish to alert you to a recent rise in scammers posing as Singlife staff or financial adviser representatives (FARs), who claim to act on behalf of the MAS. To prevent falling victim to such scams, we urge you to read the following information:

1. Individuals listed on the Register of Representatives are not from MAS. Legitimate FARs will never call customers on behalf of MAS.

2. Singlife will not ask a customer to cancel your policies without you first making the request.

3. Singlife will not ask you to pay to personal bank accounts or reveal your personal banking details over the telephone. Customers must refer to the official letter/website on how to pay their premiums.

Here are some of our latest fraud warnings

Unsolicited Requests
Scammers may contact you via calls, text messages, or emails, asking for personal or banking details. These requests often appear legitimate but are designed to harvest your personal or banking details.

Pressure for Immediate Action
You may be told that urgent action is needed, such as transferring money or updating account details. Scammers use urgency and fear to rush you into acting without verifying the situation.

Vague or Unfamiliar Claims
Scammers might make misleading or exaggerated reference to transactions, accounts, or policies you don’t recognise. Their information is often vague or lacking in detail, referencing unfamiliar products to confuse or entice you.

Spoofed Websites or Email Addresses
Scam messages are created from fake email accounts that closely resemble legitimate one but have subtle changes (e.g., [email protected] instead of [email protected]). Spoofed website are designed to look almost identical to official website to deceive you into sharing personal information or banking details and downloading malware.

To help you stay protected, here are some precautions that you should take.
