Leading homegrown financial services company Singlife is partnering foodpanda, Singapore’s leading food and grocery delivery platform, to offer all its delivery partners access to more affordable and comprehensive outpatient healthcare services. The collaboration aims to support the wellbeing of its gig economy workers by making healthcare more accessible.
From today, thousands of foodpanda delivery partners in Singapore will be eligible to participate in RiderCare by foodpanda and Singlife. Enrolment comes with no fees and is open to all foodpanda delivery partners who remain active on the platform. Through the programme, delivery partners can access a range of outpatient medical services at preferred rates across an extensive healthcare network.
Supported by Singlife’s medical panel partner HMI Managed Healthcare, the programme gives delivery partners access to services across a network of over 1,000 clinics, including:
Primary care, including GP clinic consultations and teleconsultations
Specialist and allied health services, including specialist consultations, dental care, physiotherapy and traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) treatments
Preventive health services, such as health screenings and flu vaccinations
Akhil Doegar, Group Head of Distribution, Singlife said, “We are pleased to be the first insurer to partner foodpanda to bring one of the most comprehensive healthcare offerings to its delivery community in Singapore, spanning not just primary care, but also preventive health, mental wellness and specialist services. Many gig workers do not have access to traditional employment benefits, and medical expenses can place a significant strain on their financial wellbeing. Through this initiative, we are making healthcare more accessible and affordable, while advancing Singlife’s commitment to delivering a better way to wellbeing for individuals and the communities we serve.”
Ervin Lim, Director of Logistics, foodpanda Singapore said, “Our delivery partners are the backbone of our operations and their safety and wellbeing are our top priorities. This partnership with Singlife expands coverage for our delivery partners and their families, reinforcing our commitment to a supportive ecosystem that centers on the welfare of every delivery partner on the road.”
Kenneth Low, Managing Director, HMI Managed Healthcare said, “Behind every delivery is a dedicated rider helping to keep Singapore moving. As a leading benefits administrator, we believe practical and affordable healthcare access matters more than ever, especially as costs continue to rise. We are proud to support this initiative to provide foodpanda’s delivery partners with support beyond GP care, making it easier for them to look after their health.”
foodpanda delivery partners can access the Singlife app to locate nearby clinics, retrieve their digital health card for discounted medical services and explore mental wellness resources. They can also enjoy curated rewards and discounts, including dining, lifestyle and health deals.
Singlife’s innovative approach to employee benefits recently gained industry recognition at the InsuranceAsia News Country Awards for Excellence 2026, where it was named Singapore’s Best Employee Benefits Provider. The award highlights Singlife’s leadership in developing innovative and market-leading employee benefits solutions. The RiderCare programme is a direct result of Singlife’s commitment to extending comprehensive coverage to both traditional corporate employees and gig economy workers.
Looking ahead, Singlife and foodpanda will continue to explore ways to further support foodpanda’s delivery partners. These efforts will focus on enhancing access to protection solutions, reinforcing both companies’ shared commitment to supporting the wellbeing and financial security of riders.
