Why is there a change to the MINDEF/MHA/POGIS promotions, and when will the new promotions take effect?

We review our promotions regularly and make adjustments, where necessary. This ensures that we continue to offer comprehensive coverage while keeping our plans competitive and sustainable.

The new promotions will take effect from Friday, 14 February 2025 and will apply to both new policies and renewals, with the following updated discounts:

  • 15% for Singlife Travel Insurance
  • 10% for Singlife Home Insurance
  • 5% for Singlife Car Insurance

Will the revised MINDEF/MHA/POGIS discounts apply to my annual policy renewal for travel, home and car insurance?

Yes, if your policy renews on or after Friday, 14 February 2025, the revised discounts will apply as follows:

  • 15% for Singlife Travel Insurance
  • 10% for Singlife Home Insurance
  • 5% for Singlife Car Insurance

How long will the new discounts be available?

These discounts are part of our ongoing MINDEF/MHA/POGIS privileges. They are subject to periodic reviews and adjustments so we encourage you to take advantage of them when available.

Why am I no longer eligible for the free Loss of Use and Loss of Keys riders in my car insurance renewal? How much do these riders cost?

As part of the revised MINDEF/MHA/POGIS promotions effective from 14 February 2025, we are offering a 5% discount on car insurance instead of the free Loss of Use and Loss of Keys riders.

If you’d like to include these riders, you can add them to your policy at the following rates:

  • Loss of Use: S$81.75
  • Loss of Keys: S$27.25

You can select these riders in Step 3 when renewing your policy.

Why am I not eligible for the MINDEF/MHA promotions even though I have a group policy with MINDEF/MHA?

To qualify for the MINDEF/MHA promotions, you or your immediate family member (spouse, children, parents, or siblings) must be insured under the Group Insurance Voluntary Scheme. This refers to additional coverage under the Group Term Life or Group Personal Injury plans.
