What is the eCall assistance service?

Our eCall assistance is a complimentary service for Motor Prestige customers. with the purpose to bring rapid assistance to you in the event of an accident. In case of a crash, an eCall-equipped car automatically notifies our claims helpline who will then contact you or go to the accident scene to assist you. In addition, it will also inform your emergency contact which you have already set up with our eCall mobile application, if any.

To achieve this, we will provide you with an eCall device and a companion app for you to connect to your car via Bluetooth using your mobile phone. You should also have internet connection on your mobile phone. The same service is also extended to your authorized driver, if any.

This feature applies for Motor Prestige only for policies purchased on or before 31 December 2021.
 

How do I qualify for Singlife car insurance?

To qualify for car insurance from Singlife, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Be 21 to 70 years old
  • Reside in Singapore
  • Hold a valid NRIC or FIN
  • Be the registered car owner of the car to be insured
  • Be medically fit to drive and satisfy all driving regulations
  • Possess a valid driving licence with at least 1 year of driving experience
  • Have not been previously refused insurance for any reason
  • Have made no more than 2 claims in the past 3 years
  • Your car has no modification or any modifications your car has are compliant with and approved by the Land Transport Authority of Singapore ("LTA")
  • The car to be insured must not be more than 15 years old.

What is a Dual-Year Plan policy?

Traditionally, most motor policies sold in the market carry a one-year period of insurance. And upon renewal, the premiums may fluctuate based on market conditions, claims experience and so on.

Our Dual-Year Plan policy allows customers to lock in current rates by purchasing their policies with a two-year period of insurance. They may enjoy savings with this arrangement.

What are the available modes of payment?

You can pay your premium online by credit card (Visa/Mastercard), eNETS or Click to Pay.

eNETS (direct debit) is an online payment facility that allows internet banking users to pay through their bank accounts. The service is available to DBS Bank/POSB, OCBC Bank, United Overseas Bank, Citibank and Standard Chartered internet banking users.

Visa Checkout by Visa is a free digital wallet service that allows you to pay partner merchants for goods and services with just your email address. The wallet, easily activated on any data-connected device, allows you to link Visa and non-Visa cards.

Can I pay by monthly installments?

Yes, you may pay through the Instalment Payment Plan (IPP) with your UOB Visa / Mastercard credit card (debit cards not accepted).

How do I renew my policy?

Click on the unique link in your renewal email to verify your personal details, then log in to your Singlife account and review your renewal price and cover options.

Do note that the renewal price is guaranteed for 14 days from the date of the first renewal email and may change thereafter.
