Can my child be covered under travel insurance when he/she travels alone with their school on an overseas excursion trip?

Yes, provided your child is at least 16 years old at the point of application. If your child is under 16 years old, an accompanying adult can purchase a group policy together with them.

Am I covered for Trip Cancellation for other reasons that are not mentioned in the insured events?

Yes. You may claim under Trip Cancellation For Any Reason or Change of Travelling Date or Time For Any Reason, if it isn’t due to any one of the insured events, with a Travel Plus or Travel Prestige policy purchased within seven days of making initial payment for your trip. For example, if you’ve purchased an air ticket on 1 December 2022 and paid for your accommodation on 1 February 2023, for a trip from 1 June 2023 to 14 June 2023, you would’ve had to secure your travel insurance by 8 December 2022 to be covered under this section.

We’ll cover 50% of the trip’s irredeemable travel and accommodation costs, as well as entertainment tickets paid in advance before departure from Singapore, if you cancel your trip. We’ll also cover 50% of the reasonable administrative fees charged by the airline or licensed travel agent, if changes are made to the travel time and date of the trip. We also cover irredeemable entertainment tickets.

For more information on the terms and conditions, please refer to your policy document.
