How to make a claim

Notify us by phone before you engage any contractors and make sure to submit your claim within 7 days of the incident or as soon as reasonably possible.

We'll respond quickly

You will receive an acknowledgement email or call within 2 working days from the time we receive your claims submission. If we need further information, we'll get in touch within 30 working days. 

Once your claim is approved, an email will be sent to you. Your claims payout will be paid via PayNow within 1 to 2 business days.

Make sure that your PayNow account is registered under your NRIC in order to receive the payment successfully.

If it isn't, the bank will mail you a physical cheque.

Do I qualify for Singlife Home insurance?

If you are a Singapore resident with a NRIC or FIN who owns or rents a property in Singapore and are aged 18 and above, you can purchase Singlife Home Insurance.

 

What is the difference between Home Lite, Home Standard and Home Plus?

Cover included in all home policies:

  • Loss or damage in the home by an extensive list of causes such as fire, flood, theft, earthquake and lightning, explosion, bursting or overflowing of water tanks or domestic appliances, riot strike or civil commotion and vehicle impact to home contents and/or any improvements or additions to your home (renovations).
  • Your personal legal liability for any legal actions against you arising from accidental injury, death or loss to property that you are responsible for.
  • Alternative accommodation costs or loss of rent if your home is damaged by any of the causes listed and as a result cannot be lived in.
  • Emergency cash allowance if your home is damaged by any of the causes listed and as a result cannot be lived in for at least five (5) days.
  • Medical expenses if you, your family member or your domestic employee suffers an accidental injury in your home by any of the causes listed.

Cover included in Home Standard and Home Plus policies:

  • Accidental breakage of fixed glass/mirror.
  • Loss of personal money, credit and debit cards.
  • Utilities bill relief.

Cover included in Home Plus policies only:

  • Loss of personal papers such as ID cards, driving licence, title documents etc.
  • Accidental death of pet.
  • Home cleaning expenses.

Can I pay by monthly instalments?

Yes, if your premium is at least S$300 you may pay by monthly instalment under Instalment Payment Plan (IPP) through your UOB VISA / MasterCard credit card for any new business or renewal application. Note that debit cards are not accepted.
