There are basically 3 types of transactions that can be made:
Fund Subscriptions (Buy)
This is normally where your Financial Adviser Representative will recommend a selection of funds to meet your personal financial needs and objectives that suit your risk tolerance and investment horizon. You'll have to make a decision on whether to subscribe, or "buy" into the funds as recommended by your Financial Adviser Representative. Funds Subscriptions are subject to the minimum investment levels set out in the Schedule for Funds Investment (also accessible here).
Do note that cash trades are placed only upon cleared funds basis. Cleared funds payment refer to cheques which have been cleared or internet banking funds transfer which are sighted in Trust Account by the cut-off time. For CPF/SRS transactions, trade placements will be performed after successful collection of funds from your CPF/SRS accounts, typically 1 to 2 business days after you authorise your trades.
Price for your trades will be reflected approximately 2 days later as unit trusts are forward pricing and Net Asset Value (NAV) will only be available typically after 2 business days (barring any unforeseen circumstances). Units will be updated in your portfolio within 7 days from the trade placement date. Do note that buy trades for monthly traded funds may take more than a month to complete as the buy trades and price of the fund are only available once a month.
Fund Switches (Switch)
Funds are dynamic investments and your portfolio may skew over time due to the performance of the individual funds. When this happens, your Financial Adviser Representative may suggest to re-balance your portfolio by switching funds to bring it back in line with your current risk profile.
A fund switch involves the redemption of units in one or more funds, and using the redemption proceeds to subscribe for units in one or more other funds. The redemption and subscription will be processed sequentially i.e. the sell transaction has to be completed before the buy transaction can be performed and it take about 4-8 business days to complete. Do note that switch trades for monthly traded funds may take more than a month to complete as the switch trades and price of the fund are only available once a month.
Generally, your Financial Adviser Representative should only recommend that you perform a fund switch if the replacement fund would continue to fit your risk tolerance, time horizon and financial goals, and is not detrimental to your interests.
Funds switches are subject to the minimum withdrawal/redemption levels set out in the Schedule for Funds Investment (also accessible here).
Redemptions (Sell)
At any time, you can ask for a full or partial redemption of your investments under any of your Investment Accounts.
Redemptions are subject to the minimum redemption levels set out in the Schedule for Funds Investment (also accessible here).
For more information regarding investment transactions, please contact your Financial Adviser Representative.
Settlement of Redemption Trades
Typically, redemption trades would usually take 3 – 8 business days (barring any unforeseen circumstances) after you have authorized the trade. You will receive the redemption proceeds in your respective account within 2 – 3 business days from the settlement date. If a redemption account is nominated, you will receive your cash redemption in your nominated bank. You are strongly encouraged to nominate a bank account for your cash redemption in order to enjoy a seamless and convenient direct crediting of your redemption proceeds into your bank account. Bank charges may apply for direct credit of redemption proceeds in USD.
CPF-OA and SRS payment will be remitted to your Agent Bank or SRS operator for the credit of your CPF Ordinary/SRS Account, as the case may be. CPF-SA payment will be remitted to your CPF Special Account directly. Do note that sell trades for monthly traded funds may take more than a month to complete as the sell trades and price of the fund are only available once a month.

We wish to highlight that a maximum balance will be applied to the aggregate of the balances in each Cash Account under your Investment Cash/SRS Sub-Account(s) (the "Maximum Balance").
The Maximum Balance is set at S$35,000 with effect from 8 August 2007.
The Maximum Balance is applicable for joint accounts as well. Your jointly-owned Sub-Account (whether a non-minor joint Sub-Account or including jointly-owned minor Sub-Account) will have a separate Maximum Balance from your individually-owned Sub-Account. However, if you own more than one joint Sub-Account with the same account holders, these will be aggregated together. For example, Mary's individual Sub-Account will have a Maximum Balance of S$35,000. Her joint Sub-Account with John will have a separate Maximum Balance of another S$35,000.
However, if Mary and John have more than one joint Sub-Account, all of their joint Sub-Accounts will be aggregated together and the combined total should not exceed S$35,000.
Navigator will be reviewing the cash balances in your Cash/SRS Sub-Account(s) on every 1st working day of the month. If you wish to invest your excess cash balances (exceeding the Maximum Balance) into the investment funds available on the platform, we strongly encourage you to contact your Financial Adviser to switch out the excess cash balance before the 1st of every subsequent month, as needed.
Following our review, if the aggregate balance in your Cash Account(s) exceeds the Maximum Balance, we will proceed to automatically refund you any amount in excess of the Maximum Balance within 2 weeks from the review date.
If you have nominated a bank account for your Navigator Investment Plan(s), we will credit the refund amount into your nominated bank account. Otherwise, GROW will send a cheque to your last known address in our records. In the case of SRS monies, GROW will credit your SRS Account with the relevant SRS Operator. A withdrawal notification will also be sent to inform you of the refund.
The terms and conditions applicable to Investment Account is accessible here. We strongly encourage investors to read it.
