Non-exhaustive acceptable documents

Identification cards

  • National Registration Identification Card (NRIC) for Singaporeans and Singapore Permanent Residents
  • issued to foreigners by their respective home countries

Valid passports

where residential address is indicated by Immigration Authorities (within 6 months)

Driving license

with indication of residential address by the respective home countries (within 6 months)

Bills, statements or letters

  • Bills issued by Local Telecommunication Companies (within 6 months)
  • Utilities bills (within 6 months)
  • Bills, statements or letters issued by the Central Provident Fund Board & Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (within 1 year)
  • Bills, statements or letters issued by other Local Government Agencies (e.g. Housing Development Board, Land Transport Authority and Town Council etc.) (within 6 months)

Letters, documents or statements

  • issued from other Insurance Companies in Singapore (within 6 months)
  • issued from other Financial Institutions (within 6 months)

Employment letter or overseas posting letter on company’s letterhead

signed off by authorized person in the company (within 6 months)

Mortgage loan agreement

with appended signatures on full set of document (within 1 year)

Signed tenancy agreement

for residence bearing both landlord and tenant’s signatures (within 1 year)

Power of attorney

(within 1 year)

Any approved overseas documents that are not in English will have to be translated and certified by a qualified translator or a staff/employee that is conversant in that language.
