No. Our comprehensive policy covers loss or damage to your car as a result of any accident, fire or theft (including windscreen damage), no matter the party at fault. Your car is also covered for third-party damages (in an accident) that you may be liable for.
Yes. Our car insurance covers damages as a result of natural disasters. These include fallen trees, floods, typhoons, hurricanes, cyclones, tornados, volcanic eruptions and earthquakes.
Your car may be repaired by any of our approved workshops, who will provide full, 12-month repair warranties. Alternatively, you may use a repairer of your choice if you’re covered under the Motor Standard or Motor Prestige plans note that this may lead to delays in arrangement of repairs and it may involve you paying an additional excess.
If you’re covered under Motor Lite plan, you must utilise our approved repairers or your claim will be affected.

Acceptance of parallel import models for repairs in distributor workshops is subject to each workshop's agreement. Please call the workshop before sending the vehicle in.
Yes. You may have your damaged windscreen or any of the car’s other glass parts repaired or replaced.
Under Motor Lite, if the repair/replacement is carried out by a Singlife-approved windscreen repairer, there will be a S$100 (subject to GST, if applicable) excess for replacement work and no excess for repairs. If you choose not to use a Singlife-approved repairer, you won’t be covered under the policy.
Under the Motor Standard Plan, if the repair/replacement is carried out at a Singlife-approved windscreen repair workshop, there will be a S$100 (subject to GST, if applicable) excess for replacements and no excess for repairs. If you choose not to use a Singlife-approved repairer, a S$25 excess applies for repairs and S$100 excess applies for replacement work (subject to a maximum payment of S$600 minus excess).
Under the Motor Prestige Plan, the above excesses and capped limits do not apply.
Market value is the amount that your car is likely to fetch if it is sold in the open market in Singapore in its current (pre-fire, theft or accident) condition. This value will include the applicable taxes and C.O.E. that were in place when the vehicle was new or first registered. However, we’ll deduct any vehicle or tax value depreciation that applies from the date of registration.
Yes. The territorial limits include the Republic of Singapore, West Malaysia and Peninsula Thailand, up to 80 kilometres from the border with West Malaysia.
The towing charge is unlimited if the accident occurs within the stated territorial limits. Please call our 24-hour claims helpline at +65 6333 2222 for assistance.
Yes, please note that if you wish to reduce your own damage policy excess, it will only be applicable to selected car models.
Currently, the additional excess, on top of the standard policy excess, is as follows:
Drivers aged 24 and below and/or holding a valid driving licence for less than two years: S$2,500
For the avoidance of doubt, you are deemed to be aged 24 years old and below as long as you have not reached your 25th birthday before making any claims.
This does not apply to policyholders with the Motor Prestige plan.
We do not impose additional excess on elderly drivers.
